Brothers and Sisters,
The Sunday Morning Church of ATTENTION
Success in the school of life is not the answers, but the questions.
It’s Harvest Season and our best crop is Gratitude.
Here are questions to recall & inspire stories of gratitude.
- What events in your life have been transformed into experiences you are grateful for?
- Who in your life are you most grateful for?
- What do you appreciate the most about yourself?
- What challenge or adversity in your life have become turning points to gratitude?
- What movie, book, song or poem helped you become more grateful?
- Does your family have rituals for sharing gratitude?
- What has stopped you for being grateful each moment?
- How would you define gratitude?
- What is the opposite of gratitude?
- Who is the most grateful person you know?
- Do you have a picture of what gratitude looks like?
- What is the sound of gratitude?
- Can you do a gratitude dance?
- What is your first memory of gratitude? The first thing you remember being grateful for?
- Have you ‘mind mapped’ or ‘brainstormed’ the concept of gratitude?
- What does gratitude feel like in your body?
- What builds gratitude? What destroys gratitude?
- What am I not grateful for that I want to be grateful for?
- If you’re not appreciating this moment what are you doing?
Pick one or many questions & begin to create the Harvest Season. Begin now as each day grows shorter, to lengthen your compassion, your kindness, your gratitude for the miracle you are.
Namaste
I bow to the light within each of you.
