Happy Valentines Day
A Cornucopia to make the heart grow fonder,
Love last longer
& laugh a lot.
How did a religious Holy Day become a marketing delight of lust, love letters, cards, candy and flowers?
How can I use V-Day to inspire, perspire and not tire my love?
Remember the Basics:
All there is is love…
(doubters can review their Beatles collection, read Kahil Gibran or ask a Mother)
The love you receive is equal to the love you give…
(also Beatles, Karmanic philosophy or ask a Mother)
There is an endless supply of love. You cannot use it all up.
Love is our self-renewing resource.
Now add attitude
Our attitude is what makes things, places, people and events important!
Use the days before V-day to prepare. (LOVE LASTS when as much time or more is spent preparing for V-Day as the Super Bowl Sunday.
Send cards, send a lot. Practice romantic dinners. Pay attention to lighting, fragrance, music. Get dressed up. Pay attention to details. Find those details that surprise and delight your partner.
REMEMBER
When all the romance of Saint Valentines Day is poo-pooe, or becomes too much work, then birthdays, anniversaries, and even Christmas will become too stressed.
REMEMBER
Romance is fun.
Now add the Kiss
Take the time to remember as many smooches as possible, from the peck to the probe. What made you remember them? Practice some of the old favorites and create new nibbles of destiny & lovelocks of passion.
REMEMBER It is a religious holiday so add an excited “OH GOD, a deep sigh and THANK GOOD FOR MY PARTNER.
Ah,what emotion better to celebrate than love.
Many of us are blessed with relationships and blessed by cupid.
We are fed by our commitments to each other.
Hurray and congratulations on keeping love alive!
What ifwe tuned ourselves to bigger love?
Agape love. Unconditional love. Love of life
Love thy neighbor. Love your adversities.
Imaginewhat it could be like if the heart shaped boxes of chocolate resulted in a real high of compassion and enthusiasm for everyone.
What ifa bottle of Valentines Day Champagne, produced intoxication for humanity as a whole?
What ifyou attuned your inner self to feel appreciation for the unacceptable?
What if we gave a card to everyone? Remember, like grade school when everyone got a valentines message. The postage would be atrocious, but the wording wonderful and hearts opened to feel the awe of being love.
We still have a practical aspect to Valentines Day, a tradition of spring plantings, this year we add more of the rich scents of Alyssums.
Our newest tradition is Raleen making cards for the Grandkids, Trent, Zoë, & Gage, mailed with the belief that someday they will send us cards. Ah
