Dependence, Independence, & Interdependence

The Sunday Morning Church of ATTENTION
Dependence, Independence or Interdependence
We come together today in parades, picnics, BBQ’s, because today is the Fourth of July, even in England. It was a very special moment 234 years ago has that inspired over ten generation to think and act on independence. To declare, in written and celebratory form, our freedom from dependence, and our separation from tyranny.
I can imagine our ancestor saying “We ain’t beholding to no one, excepting ourselves. We’re free men.” And for over half those generations it was just us men. Thank you ladies for declaring your independence, and for those men who supported that change.
Freedom from dependence, is one step. Freedom from  independence is another step to interdependence. To the recognition that we are all connected.
As free as I can feel, is not as free as I am when we work and play together. When share the load, share the win, share the love, share the big picture of humanity, even for brief moments, or only in small numbers that we are all connected together.
“So we have come together once again…to remember our independence, our sorcery, and use this day and all dazes as viewpoints to honor ourselves and all of Precious Humanity in coming a long, long way to get here together.
Trent says, as all small children know, “We are all one!” Celebrate Independence on the road to being interdependent to all of us.
